With my first ever blog post I figured I would post some pictures from my most recent field expedition. I traveled with 26 junior and senior undergraduate geology majors from NC State, along with a few professors and fellow graduate TAs to New Mexico for our annual summer field camp. This was my second year as a TA for NC State’s field camp and with the new group of students came new excitement and experiences. We spent most of our time near Abiquiu, NM, about 120 miles north of Albuquerque. Our home base for the first three weeks was Ghost Ranch Education and Retreat Center where we stayed in cozy duplex casitas with breathtaking views of the stratigraphic units that make up the cliffs and mesas surrounding Ghost Ranch. I will do a more detailed recap later, but for now, here are some pictures from the journey.
